Originally founded in 1954 as Somerset Combined Training Group and split in to two separate clubs in April 1958, the other being Lamberts Castle RC, the name Taunton & District RC came into being in 1983.
The present club has a membership of 140+ members with a strong junior section of approximately 20. Juniors must be 11 as at the beginning of the current year.

The club has strong participation in all three disciplines, dressage, show jumping and eventing. We hold various rallies for all abilities at different venues in the area. Our social calendar is well supported and varied! We send junior and senior teams to national championships every year!
We believe that we are an enthusiastic and friendly club and we welcome new members.
